I have been practicing martial arts ever since I was a child, so martial arts has accompanied me through half of my entire life.
2.What are some benefits to practicing martial arts?
Not only is martial arts a good excercise, but it also improves your coordination so that you learn other sports faster than your peers.
3.How much time do you spend on martial arts a week?
About two hours a week.
4.How did you start practicing martial arts?
In the beginning I wanted to learn martial arts as a form of self-defense, but eventually I realized that martial arts isn't just used to fight people or defend yourself — it’s also a good workout and an excellent means of catharsis.
5.Have you ever gotten hurt while practicing martial arts?
Yeah, pretty often. Most of the time I just sprain a joint or pull a muscle. It’s usually my hips, my legs or my feet.
6.Have you had any frustrating experiences?
During everyday practice, there are some frustrating moves that take a really long time to bring to perfection, such as butterfly kicks, somersaults and backflips. Also, sometimes in competitions we’re pitted up against students who have received unconditional offers from schools on their martial arts merits, and even though I know they train for so much longer it’s still frustrating to receive a lower score than them.
7.What is your next goal?
I want to become a national champion and win glory for my country.
