2.In what ways did you act as "ambassadors" and spokespersons for your CyberFair project both on-line and in person.
We personally interviewed judges from the Taipei martial arts competition, martial arts teachers, parents, and students in our school martial arts team. After interviewing them, we shared the information to our classmates and students that are practicing martial arts through an in-class presentation.
The most interesting part was when the judge shared his personal story — his growth story from a street-fighting thug and a college dropout to a martial arts coach and judge as well as a father of 4 kids was truly inspirational.

3.What has been the impact of your project on your community?
Through our presentation, we gave 120 students in our school chances to learn more about martial arts. Our school also included martial arts in PE class — students learn it starting from elementary school and participate in martial arts competitions in sixth grade. We hope people around the world can learn about martial arts with our web pages. Through the interviews we got to know the judges of the Taipei Martial Arts Competition even more. It is our hope that our website will become a center of learning for Chinese martial arts on the internet.

4.How did your project involve other members of your community as helpers and volunteers?
School martial arts teachers and parents of children in the school martial arts team were more than willing to share valuable information about their experiences with us. The award-winning contestants were also enthusiastic about sharing what led them onto the path of Chinese martial arts.

5.Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises
We are really happy that we were able to participate in this year’s International CyberFair Competition. Over the course of this year, we learned how to handle image editing software and web design software. We also learned some basic interviewing techniques and how to collect quality information. From the days that we worked together, we discovered the importance of teamwork and division of labor. If we only depended on one person to finish everything it would have been an impossible task; we had to help each other out to conquer all the obstacles and difficulties we encountered. We would like to thank our teachers for guiding us through each and every step that led to the creation of this website. In this competition, every member managed their time well and was responsible for their assigned area of work. Even though each of us had different opinions and ideas behind our work, after discussing it with the rest of the team we all learned how to express our own ideas and accept others’ ideas with an open mind. After a year of hard work, we finally finished this project. At the end everybody was relieved that we finished, as having to devote time to both schoolwork and this project was quite the stressful experience. However, we were happy that we were able to accomplish this much and learn so many things throughout this project. We truly wish that we can participate in the CyberFair again next year.
