Competition Grounds
1.General martial arts, weaponry, sparring competition grounds: Any flat square area that is sufficiently safe and 8-10 meters on each side.
2.Lei tai (Arena) full-contact martial arts competition grounds: A flat square area with sides of 9 - 12 meters and a cushioned surface with a fair amount of elasticity. The area should be 0.6 - 0.8 meters above ground level to form a lei tai (elevated fighting arena); when this is impossible safety cushions should be placed to reach a similar height. Additional safety cushions should be laid down in the area 2-3 meters outside the competition grounds to ensure the safety of all contestants.
3.There should be a sufficient amount of space beyond the additional safety cushions to accommodate spectators.
4.The judge's stand should be a square 0.3 to 0.4 meters tall and 2 meters on each side.
