Analysis:
In Taipei Fuhsing Private School, students who eat organic food for their everyday diet are slightly fewer than those who wouldn’t. It represents that the promotion of organic agriculture among students still requires some more efforts.

Result:
47% of the students would buy organic food because they are healthier.
27.3% of the students would buy organic food because they are safer.
16.7% of the students would buy organic food because they are friendlier to
the environment.

agriculture.
Analysis:
The thought that “organic food is healthier” was the major factor that makes Taipei Fuhsing Private School’s students chose to buy organic food. We think that it is because health is what our diet affects the most. Fewer students wished to protect the environment or support certain products through their diet.

Most students in Taipei Fuhsing Private School would not buy organic food, because they thought that it was unnecessary. This means that when we are promoting organic food, we should emphasize more on the reason behind choosing to eat organic food and the benefits of eating it. Most students didn’t know the difference between organic agriculture and conventional agriculture. Thus, when they were buying vegetable, they were not likely to buy organic vegetable. Since they did not know the differences between the two farming methods, they had no motive to buy organic food. A small number of people wouldn't buy organic food because of their limited budget, but the survey displays that this is not the main reason for not buying organic products. Therefore, when we are promoting organic food, we should emphasize more on the benefits of organic food instead of lowering the prices to attract the public to buy it. That way everyone can learn more about the advantages of eating organic food.

Question4. After the food scandal, do you still believe in organic certification?
Result:
54.4% of the students still believed in the organic certifications after the food scandal, because the certificating team will be stricter with gauging the passes.
45.6% of the students didn’t trust the organic certifications after the food scandal, because they doubt the credibility of organic certifications.
Analysis:
After the food scandal, more than half of the students believed in organic certifications. This means that in the hearts of Fuhsing Private School’s students, food certifications still have its credibility. Although the food scandal threatened the credibility of organic certification, we should view this crisis as a turning point. We should take this chance to promote the concepts of food safety and teach the public how to make saver choice.

Result:
51.9% of the students thought the price is slightly overpriced but is still acceptable.
27.8% of the students thought that the price is reasonable.
20.4% of the students thought that the price is overpriced.
Analysis:
Over 70 percent of the students thought that the price of organic food wasn’t overly high. Although it wasn’t cheap, it was still acceptable. Farmers who implemented organic farming need to spend more time and effort in taking care of the food. Therefore, the prices were usually higher. Compare to the result of the question 3, both results show that price is not the major factor that determine the customers’ willingness of buying organic food.

Most Fuhsing students supported the organic movement, whereas, a minority of students would not support these organizations. This indicates that there is a certain number of supporters of organic movement. People are fairly friendly toward the organic concept.

There is organic store\market near the home of 68.4%of the students. This shows that there are a lot of organic stores in the Taipei city. In addition, it’s becoming easier to buy organic products. But there isn’t organic store\market near the home of 31.6%of the students. Therefore, the organic store should do more promotion to increase the density of organic stores.

43.9% of the students thought that it doesn’t matter. The other famers don’t have to become an organic farmer.

And there is a part of students thought that it doesn’t matter to them whether the farmers must change their farming way. For them, whether should all the farmers convert to organic agriculture is not a problem that needs to be addressed right away.

Analysis:
Although from the data of the campus survey we can see that most of the students are opened about organic farming, most of them did not know about any organic certification center or farm. We should pay attention on the promotion of organic certification center and farm, while popularizing organic agriculture. Knowing organic farms and certification center helps us to understand more about the origins, the testing standards and steps of the food, leading us to a healthy life.
