Our visit to Kitchen Lab
Kitchen Lab is a restaurant located at Taipei, Taiwan. We visited Kitchen Lab in order to understand the restaurant more and to taste the delicious dishes made by healthy ingredients. People normally choose non-organic diet because they believe that it tastes better. Thus, organic diet is being marked as a bland diet. But is that really true?
During our visit, Kitchen Lab proved to us that organic meal could also taste very impressive. We gave a try to the meat and potatoes stew after chatting with the founder of Kitchen Lab. Surprisingly, the rice was very nice and the pork was flavorful. Fluffy potatoes and the colorful carrots beside the pork melted in our mouth. Without over seasoning, the food tasted natural.
The most important things we learned in this trip was that how creativity could help reducing the food waste. Unlike other restaurant, Kitchen Lab doesn’t have a menu. In this way, the chef can make the meal without being restricted by the ingredients. During the interview, the founder of Kitchen Lab told us that recently the farmers overproduced carrots and they solved the problem by making them into carrot cakes. Today, people waste many food, however, with our creativity, we can actually turn them into delicious meals.
All in all, visiting Kitchen Lab was a great experience and we would love to go visit them again next time.
