4. Place description

In the long history of Taiwan, many old buildings have been forgotten. However, these important buildings bear witness to the events of one period after another, representing the living conditions of different communities. There are many historic sites hidden in Formosa. Fort Santo Domingo in Tamsui, Chen De-Xing Hall, Yinshan Temple, Dalongdong Bao’an Temple, Confucius Temple, and Taipei City Gates are some of the famous historic sites in Taiwan. But who is conserving these historic sites? The answer, as you might have guessed, is Professor Li Chien-Lang, who has been the guardian of Taiwanese historic sites for decades and has preserved both these historic sites and the history of Taiwan.
