When stepping into the art gallery, we saw a charming painting of orchids. The painting was said to be placed in Mrs. Chen Ching's living room. We had seen a lot of Mrs.Chen's work in books while learning about her style, but seeing them in real life was astonishing. When viewed from a distance the paintings are vivid and exquisite. When you look at them closer, they are soft and attractive.
Walking around in the art gallery, we were also surprised to find out the requirements needed to keep the paintings in good condition. We admire Mrs. Chen's ability to use those old-time toolkits to finish those not-yet-surpassable works as well. We were most impressed by a private painting which features a temple. In this painting, a temple was placed on the upper area of the canvas, with blue sky on each side, giving the impression of immenseness. Ponds and corridors were placed in the lower part of the painting. The most amazing part was the expressions of those people walking in the corridors. The size of their faces was no larger than a fingernail. The expressions of the people are remarkable, and you will find some were smiling, some were looking back talking to their friends, and some were laughing in tears. Such fine painting is respectable, and you can easily tell Mrs Chen Chin's passion and concentration on paintings through the great work. |
